This workshops is an introduction into Mint Healing Plants and their medicinal power for calming stress and anxiety, and promoting restful sleep.
Whether you like peppermint or not you may be surprised to find out that you probably have herbs from the mint family in your spice rack – sage, oregano and thyme are all members!
Recognising plant families can help you on your journey to safe foraging and more! You may be surprised how many plants that you already use and know in this family. From rosemary to lemon balm, dead nettle to horehound. We shall discuss the medicinal uses of plants from this family and collect, taste and discuss some of them.
The workshop will be led by Ashlie Love a fully trained Naturopathic Herbalist. Since graduating in 2011, she splits her time between treating patients and teaching people about the potential of plants and how to safely forage for food and medicine. In the workshop we will identify some of the medicinal plants of the mint family and how to use these for personal healing and vitality.
Hosted at our secret garden location in North London discover the antioxidant and digestive properties of this family of plants and join us to re-connect with nature through guided walks through this special healing space.
You will learn to:
– Identify a range of plants in the Mint family
– Discover the medicinal qualities of these herbs
– make a tincture to take home
– learn to combine oils, waxes and essential oils to make into a healing topical balm
